Double SHA-256 & Difficulty Retargeting

Every block header commits to the previous block hash, Merkle root of validated transactions, Unix timestamp, target difficulty bits, and a 64-bit nonce. Miners iterate nonces until SHA256(SHA256(BlockHeader)) falls below the active target threshold.

When aggregate network hashrate expands, the protocol proportionally tightens target difficulty so blocks cannot be mined faster than the 15-minute equilibrium.

Zero-Configuration Peer Gossip

Nodes synchronize state via HTTP/JSON peer exchange (PEX) and deterministic longest-chain verification. Every desktop wallet and miner embeds the full node binary, ensuring automatic local validation and resilient multi-peer block propagation.

Burned Administrative Privileges

The protocol contains no privileged administrator keys, no address blacklists, and no central monetary authority capable of altering the algorithmic emission schedule. Consensus validity is enforced strictly by independent node verification.
